MISSGUIDED – THE HIGH SUMMER COLLECTION

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Miss Guided blogger after party, set around three very large rooms in a Portland Place mansion – one of London’s largest and most remarkable eighteenth century houses. Featured in films such as the Kings Speech and music videos for the likes of the incredible Amy Winehouse and where Kate Moss was filmed.

We were greeted by the lovely ladies of B Public Relations and waited on with delicious mini hot dogs and burgers followed by peanut butter alcoholic drinks washed down with a few bottles of Rekorderligs.  

With the DJ playing the best of hits from Mariah Carey to Britney Spears the girls; Leanne, Amy Valentine, Georgina and myself had a look around Miss Guided’s high Summer collection. 

A few items that really stood out to me was the Alexander Wang inspired pieces with cut out sheer details. Expect to see a lot of leather detail panelling, gorgeous fringed denim, metallic blacks and silvers, detailed high heels, printed wedges, crop tops – some plain to very detailed and embellished.

We then got the chance to embellish our own items. Mine were a pair of the Miss Guided Disco pants. Which I cannot wait to try on, I can’t believe I even waited this long to get my hands on a pair. 

As bloggers we were asked to pick from a selection of MG clothing and style an outfit which the very cute model swiftly got changed into. The outfits will be posted on the MG Facebook page and the best outfit styled wins a MG Prize! I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else styled. 

Missguided have always impressed me with the on trend pieces and their amazing quality (and prices). They have really upped their game – from their clothing even to their incredible styling for their TV adds.
