THE BEST HOTEL IN KOH PHANGAN | PANVIMAN RESORT

When you hear of Koh Phangan, full moon parties come to mind. This resort will completely change and open your mind to visiting the Island for different reasons.

During our weeks of travelling Thailand the Panviman Resort in Koh Phangan was one of my favourite. Admittedly we were not on the Island for the famous full moon party however four nights at this heavenly resort, the full moon party was the last thing on our minds.

The whole resort is built into the mountains, and during the building process not one rock was ruined.

We stayed in one of there Pool Villas which was a treat. A pool overlooking there private crescent moon beach with a jacuzzi round  the side.

The room was large and had us gasping as soon as the door was opened. A delightful smell throughout the rooms drifted in the air, the back doors slightly open, giving views of the pool. The four poster bed was the perfect evening setting, the nets allowed us to lie with the doors open, whilst listening to the beach below, saving us from nat bites.

We spent our four days lounging around the different parts of the Panviman Hotel. We spent our mornings on the private beach hosting sun beds, with a bar a stone throw away. The sea was a delight and we spent our days frolicking around in it. Come lunch time we headed back to our room for a siesta by our own pool. A few snacks from the mini bar and a Chang in hand was good for us.

Some lunches were spent by the hotels bigger infinity swimming pool, which  also had jacuzzis. Staff were always around ready to bring you your pizza by the pool or a milkshake.

It is the only hotel in Thailand we were happy to not venture from. We were content on the resort, everything we needed was there.

Evening times allowed us to venture into the close town which had a little section of resturants that all had a Thai authenticity. On evenings we stayed in the Hotel, we dinned by the sea.

Breakfast each morning was a treat. Whilst traveling around Thailand I found it difficult to find the perfect breakfast, with good eggs and a refreshing glass of OJ. Panviman never left us down.

In fact the breakfast at Panviman was one of the best. A selection of juices were always available and cool, fruits, yogurts, eggs – anyway you like, pastries and my favourite; Indian Pancakes. The pancakes changed each day, so each day was a surprise.

On the third day we experienced a morning in the resorts Spa. A full hour of a delightful Thai massage. Overlooking the blue sea, we left Panviman feeling ready for the six weeks of travelling ahead of us.
