Granary Square Brasserie

The place to eat, drink and droll over the interior in Kings Cross, London

We booked a table at Granary Square Brasserie in January, with Christmas still lingering in the air.
The restaurant is located in the heart of Kings Cross and offers outside seating – perfect for Summertime.
We took a table for two by the window, offering me views of the outside world and Adam had views of the hustle and bustle inside the restaurant.

INTERIOR FIT FOR A PINTEREST BOARD

Aside from the food, the restaurant offers the most incredible, modern interiors. From dazzling chandeliers, blue velvet sofas, marble table tops and a dash of the great Gatsby vibes.

Choose from private room dining, a large corner sofa or prop yourself up at the bar.

WHAT TO EAT.

The prices on the menu are so reasonable for all meals, be sure to treat yourself and throw in a few sides and don’t forget about dessert.

For mains I went for the traditional Fish and Chips with mushy peas on the side. The chips were spot on, most of the time with chunky chips they can be undercooked, not with these. Add a touch of salt and vinegar and it makes for my favourite main.

Fish & Chips
Traditional battered cod served with mashed peas, thick cut chips and tartare sauce

Adam went for the Steak Sandwich “French Dip”. Had we of not been going for Dinner we would of gone for something bigger. But we will be going back to try other bits on their menu.

Roast beef with caramelised onions, horseradish mayonnaise, Burgundy sauce dip and thick cut chips 13.50

Followed by the best dessert I think we have both ever had – DO NOT SHARE THIS ONE. One each I promise you;

Chocolate bombe
Melting chocolate bombe with a vanilla ice cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce

WHAT TO WEAR.

The restaurant is very laid back with people of all styles. You could wear something super casual but at the same time wear your best denim and heels and not feel over dressed.
I imagine many people to dress up in the evenings, you certainly wouldn’t feel out of place or over the top.
