24 Hours in Naples Travel Guide

After spending a few nights in Capri we ended our trip with 24 hours in Naples.

Ive put together a 24 hour travel guide to Naples

STAY

We stayed right in the heart of Naples, at Hotel Santa Brigida.

HSB is a four star, boutique hotel where every room is different. Being just a few steps away from the most famous tourist attractions and from the port makes it a great stay.

Be sure to book a room with a balcony, you will get to see the hustle and bustle of the City from above.

VISIT THE PIAZZA DEL PLEBISCITO

We stumbled upon this during our first few hours in Naples, walking around finding some place to eat. Piazza Del Plebiscito is a large public square in the centre of Naples. It’s a good spot to take a rest, eat some ice cream or grab some photo opportunities. A place where the locals wander.

THE BEST PIZZA IN NAPLES

Now, this is the serious part. I am a pizza know it all. I also ate pizza every day whilst I was in Italy.
Brandi Pizzeria offered everything, from the best pizza to the most Italian of atmospheres with an Italian man serenading us with his guitar. Hidden down a quaint sidewalk make sure you note down the address;
Salita S. Anna Di Palazzo 1-2 (via Chiaia)

STROLL AROUND CONVITTO NAZIONALE AND ALL THE BACK STREETS

We spent all of our time in Naples walking. I find this is when you discover more.

We spent hours walking and taking in all the little passageways, buildings and people.

Stopping of at the Convitto Nazionale for a fresh fruit drink. The buildings around this area are beautiful and you will find lots of small, local market stalls.

VISIT THE MARKETS

Markets can be found held on different days of the week, I would ask where you are staying for the best local markets for food and everything else.

FOR ROMANTIC LUNCH

Take yourself away from the busy City and escape to the marina.

Here you will find a selection of restaurants all the way along.

Piazzetta Marinari, 5, 80132 Napoli NA, Italy

THE BEST GELATO

And saving the best for last. Adam was determined to find us the best gelato after finding us the best pizza. TripAdvisor took us to one place and Adam came out with an ice cream the size of his baby finger. We visited another nearby and it was just perfect. Right by the Piazza Del Plebiscite it allowed us to go for a lovely stroll.
