Leopard print can be very daunting for most of us, here are my top tips to wearing it.
THE SUBTLE ART OF WEARING LEOPARD PRINT
I never imagined myself to wear quite so much leopard print, especially when pregnant.
Typically being heavily pregnant can make you stay in your fashion comfort zone. Staying in that zone can be quite difficult when certain trends come around.
Lets face it, it daunts Adam more when I come home with a leopard print item of clothing. But I think I have mastered the subtle way of wearing leopard print.
1. WEAR LEOPARD IN ACCESSORY FORM
The softest and easiest way to get yourself into the leopard print trend is to dip your toe into the water first.
Try finding the perfect leopard print clutch bag or flat pumps.
The subtle approach is a great way of trying a trend you’re unsure off.
2. ALL BLACK EVERYTHING
My first leopard print buy of the Winter Season was the and as a rule I only allowed myself to wear it with all black and never heels.
The all black approach is another way of sticking to your comfort zone but perhaps going for a better leopard product.
3. ONE LEOPARD PRINT ITEM AT A TIME
For me this is the key rule when it comes to Leopard print.
Going over board with the print can really look cheap and not cheerful.
Either opt for a maxi dress or pick from either a skirt or top. I personally would always go for a skirt or dress.
4. CLASHING OF PRINTS
This one isn’t for everyone, Im not even sure if it is for me. With Fashion Weeks approaching I bet you will see this trend A LOT.
I would get some Pinterest inspiration for this one.
5. COAT IT UP
As I mentioned above, the first leopard print item I chose was a coat.
Inspired fully by Kendall Jenner in her long Leopard Print Coat. Im still looking for a similar coat.
6. APPROACH THE BOHEMIAN STYLE
This is one of my favourite styles for the leopard print trend and probably the easiest.
You can toughen it up with a leather jacket or go for the really girly look with flat pumps, or a large hat whilst on holiday.
7. WITH LEATHER OR SUEDE
Mixing a print with a different fabric is a great way of making it look distracting. It can also change the whole feel of an outfit. For example a leather jacket will really toughen up a look.
8. 100% WITH DENIM
Out of all of these tips, you have to wear leopard print with a classic pair of denim jeans.
Probably the only time I would wear a leopard print top.
The denim will give off that really cool girl vibe.
Finish the look off with a pair of Vans or biker boots.
9. LAID BACK COOL
Look really off duty with a slogan T, denim jeans and a leopard print jacket.
Oversize on the T-shirt and tuck it in, don’t even bother to iron it. I bet Kate Moss wouldn’t.
