A new bed is a very exciting adult purchase.
When you enjoy browsing for hours through various different beds.
Looking at head boards, four poster, no poster, a foot, no foot and then finally deciding between double or king. That is when adulthood has peaked.
Now the downstairs of the house is coming along and the windows and balcony doors are in
It’s time to focus on what is currently our bedroom, and the most important part of that was the bed.
After endless evenings browsing the Wayfair site, I decided to go for the Belle Isle Bed Frame from Breakwater Bay.
We ordered King Size but in fact the measurements are Super King.
This tired Mummy is not complaining about the extra 12″ that’s for sure.
I’ll take all the inches I can get with Pollyanna, Blue and a newborn on the way.
The bed itself is such a classic and timeless piece.
I wanted something that wouldn’t go out of style like my previous velvet double.
It has impressive crown moulding making it the centrepiece of room
Finished off in a pure white colour.
Perfect for our dream beach home which we are aiming towards.
That’s the thing, it is a bed that will last a lifetime if you let it for contemporary or modern houses.
It has a beautiful flared cornice, which has led to several leg bruisings while clumsy Adam gets used to walking around the bed.
Who knew it could be so difficult.
Teamed with a tongue and groove panelled headboard and footboard.
The headboard also has enough depth to place things on top off; pictures candles or books.

I have dressed it in
I have been pinning away on Pinterest for inspiration.
So watch this space. I still have lots to do with this room. We need bedside tables, lamps, wardrobe doors, a statement chair and I would like a large piece of driftwood to hang across the headboard.
A full bedroom feature will be up in October I hope.
