On Tuesday Alfie turned one. We threw him a wild one birthday party at home, more of that very soon.
We fancied a little adventure.
For his birthday we took the family to Wingham Wildlife Park.

Home to the largest number of animal species out of all wildlife parks and zoo’s. We had a day full of tigers, flamingos, bats, penguins and my favourite, the red panda.

We strolled around the park, map in hands. Chickens and peacocks roamed around freely with us.
Reading about each and every animal as we went.
The otters put on a wonderful show for us. Rolling around graving for attention from each other.

We strolled past the wolf, patiently waiting for his lunch.

Stopped for a moment and took in the breathtaking tigers who were almost at an arms length distance.
It was as thrilling For us as it was for the littles.

And then took a walk, or in Pollyanna’s case a run…
back in time, to the land of dinosaurs.

Past the T-rex’s and the Diplodocus. All moving and very realistic.

We had a jumping competition to see who could reach the dinosaur.

Which soon tired them out.

Past the only Moon Bears in the UK.

Past the Orang-utan 🦧

We popped in to say hello to Robin and Ruedi and their two new friends who have just joined them.

After watching for a while we perched on a bench and had lunch outside.
Joined very closely with the peacocks sat beside us.

We ended the day in the Lions Den. Three levels of soft play, slides and a toddler area.
