WHAT TO DO WHEN THE DRESS IS SEE THROUGH

This is something I am sure every girl can relate too – especially when buying online. Let me tell you my tips on what to do when you want to wear something sheer or how to avoid buying something sheer.

CHECK THE MATERIAL

This may be slightly obvious to most of you, but if like me, when buying something online, you buy via the image – STOP. Always read what the material content is. If you’re unsure of what kind of fabric it may be, simply Google it. You will know if the fabric is thin, sheer or light.

Shop my favourite slip/cami dresses on the high street;

LAYER UP

Of course if you have purchased a top, the simplest of choices would be to add a layer. This could be a coat/jacket or a kimono now we’re in Summer time.

These cropped jackets are a great option;

 WEAR IT AS A DRESS

 Which is exactly what I have done here. I absolutely adore this 90s silk cami dress. When purchasing it I knew it was going to be sheer, despite it not looking sheer on the site. I also knew it was going to be very short. But I intended on wearing it on a Summers evening, with Converse to a BBQ, with a knitted cardigan (can you picture it). So pick your favourite pair of denim jeans and work with it.

Here are some options (Asos jeans are my favourite)

MEANT TO-BE-SEEN UNDERWEAR/BODY SUIT

Another option I also decided I could go for was the “I know my dress is see through-thats the whole point look” OR a body. A body is probably the safest and more comfortable option. With this dress I also paired a white leotard that had back detail.

I would love to know what your tips are
