A ROOM WITH A VIEW OVER SHOREDITCH | CITIZEN M

Shoreditch is one of my favourite places to go in London – for food, drinks, great night life and roof top bars.

And what better way to end such a day or evening than with a room over looking the City.

I arrived and checked myself in. Say farewell to the typical reception check ins. And welcome in the modern way. Simply enter you name and follow the on step instructions on the iPad to check in.

It allows you to choose which view your room faces. North, East, South or West.

You even get to choose which floor you would prefer.

Choosing North facing, I proceeded up to the seventh floor and put my bags down.

Amazed by the mood lightings that I had full control off in the room.

I freshened up in the pod shower that was also touch sensitive. And made full use of the extra large sized Shampoos.

No scrimping here.

I pulled the curtains down on the extra large windows, put my feet up on the fresh white sheets.

Grabbed the iPad, which controls the TV and put on a movie. All free and offering a large selection.

I went for Step Dad – cant go wrong with Will Ferrell.

Darkness quickly fell and I switched from the blue mood lighting room to Purple, as I got ready for an evening with the Mr, in front of the perfectly lit mirror – always important.

The room got even better after arriving back to at after our meal.

Midnight was upon us. The sky was black, the moon was out and so was the rest of Shoreditch.

You can watch everyone from above. But no noisy sounds were to be heard.

Making it all the more perfect.

Checkout is at 11am.

We strolled down at 10am for breakfast by the bar. A full English buffet.

Just what any London visiter wants.

The hotel also has such large spaces and lounge areas for those who even want to pop in and work in a stylish and very Instagrammable location.

After a wonderful nights sleep in an extra large king size bed, and our hunger gone, it was time to make a move.

Back to the room and off to an Engagement party, we checked ourselves out.

You can book your stay at Citizen M here.

And if you’re not visiting Shoreditch any time soon, why not check out there other locations, including Paris, New York and Amsterdam.
