A stay at the five star Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge
The best part of my job is being able to experience these wonderful places all around the world. However they become even more special when they are right my doorstep – in London. I was lucky enough to spend the evening at the luxury Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel during London Fashion Week. The busiest time of year for me. So regrettably we were unable to enjoy the day in bed in our suite, or lounge around the spa. But we did of course, make the most of the little time we had there.
The lobby and entrance way greets you with grandness as your luggage is whisked away you are greeted by door staff – dressed beautifully. The chatter of people coming and going, some sat in the Chinoiserie Restaurant sipping on tea and eating light bites. We took the elevator up to the 8th floor where our suite was ready and waiting.
We were upgraded to a city view suite, which included our own living room (now you understand why more than one night was needed), a floor to ceiling marble bathroom, with in the mirror TV, that made for perfect viewing whilst taking a hot shower under the rainfall shower.
A bed big enough for eight of me (we counted) a marbled entrance way perfect for a selfie or ten and last but not least – the City view.
We spent the evening in the Spa which offers a swimming pool and perfectly large jacuzzi. We went down late evening and had the whole place all to ourselves.
Boasting about the robes is something I tend to do, so I know a good robe when I wear one. The Jumeirah allow you to purchase your own robe for £50!!
Breakfast in the Rib Room was a great way to start our day. With steak as a breakfast option, well that says it all really. Along with the breakfast they host a large continental selection which is great for the indecisive person I am.
