Since Gucci graced us all with there fantastic slip on shoes with fur on the inside, we’ve all been converted to wearing shoes which resemble slippers – outside of the house!
Slipper shoes are marmite. You either love them or hate them. For me personally I instantly lusted over a pair of the Gucci horsebit-detailed shearling-lined velvet slippers. Since I’ve been unable to get my hands on a pair I have been substituting for anything similar. They are a shoe, Gucci or not, that the older generation will sneer at, tut at, or will generally think you look ridiculous. Im not saying that it is only the older generations opinion of them, I think anyone who is not a follower of fashion will do the same.
I’ve lined up my favourite Gucci slippers available from Net-A-Porter.
Now I know the Gucci ones are an acquired taste, perhaps because of the price point or because they are so extravagant. You can find a wide variety on the high street from £20 to around £60.
The slipper shoe is a perfect shoe for Spring and they practically go with anything; summer dress, silk slip dress or like me now, denim jeans.
