Finding the perfect mirror for our home

THE PERFECT SELFIE MIRROR.

Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted a really large and oversized luxury mirror. The kind of mirror that took centre stage in a room.
Not only is it the perfect selfie mirror, it’s the perfect piece to really bring a room to life.

This double-framed Marquise Silver Mirror, was £299 from The French Bedroom Company.
I came across The French Bedroom Company on Facebook and instantly loved the classic pieces they stocked.

The mirror contains such beautiful detail, hand carved from wood, embellished with acanthus leaves, flowers, scrollings and swags, finished with beautiful silver leafs.

The mirror can be hung, but I have chosen to simply prop it against the wall instead. I very much like to move things around so this makes life so much easier.

Initially I had intended to put the mirror in our bedroom. Obvious reasons being its where I get ready.
However since our bedroom is one of the only rooms in the house unfinished, I decided to move it into our living room.
I know it can seem like a strange place for a mirror to live, but I personally think it really brightens up the room and it is the room I spend most of the time in. For me it is important for the living room to look aesthetically pleasing.

I also find that when you have such a dark room, or in my case a dark wall, that placing a mirror in the room can help brighten it up.
Light is such an important aspect for me, so the mirror really helps with this.
