Having somewhere comfortable to eat dinner was so important for our family
I am obsessed with interiors, I always have been. I think it began when I was younger, I would always move my bedroom around, put things up on the walls and this continued through to my University day’s when I lived on my own for the first time and had my own room. I had a wall covered in black and white magazine shoots, I painted vintage furniture white and fairy lights were a must. Thankfully since then, with a little bit of age, my style has improved yet forever changing. I am still trying to find ‘my interior style’.
Now we have a home/house (you can watch the renovation project all along the way on You Tube here), it has been a big experiment for me, much to Adam’s despair. I have painted walls dark blue, I have changed the sofa twice, I painted the blue walls back to white and that’s in less than 12 months.
The kitchen is slowly coming along, bar stools were the last big item to fill this space. We chose Blue Velvet Heather Bar Stools with Gold Legs, from Cult Furniture, three to be exact, to sit under the island. I was close to choosing the grey option but I am glad I went for the Blue as I think they really compliment the cupboards. They give off a real luxurious feel to the large room.
Having something nice to sit on was really important for us as we have no room for a dining table so this is where we eat our family meals together.
