Kids skiwear was the last thing on my mind this year.
It is has been my biggest regret, we were so unprepared for the snow fall here by the sea. We very rarely get any snow, it always seems to swish past us. When we do get some it lasts about an hour.
This year was different. We have had two full days of snow fall and I had no waterproofs for the kids.
Each year we tend to go skiing/snowboarding but due to Covid we’ve not been able to meaning the kids haven’t seen snow before.
It also meant that they had no skiwear. Luckily I had Alfie’s River Island Snowsuit for walks, apart from that we were not prepared.
I have rounded up some of the best skiwear/outdoor wear/suitable for splashing in muddy puddles – which is an all year occasion here in the UK.
Suitable outwear is so important. There is a saying that always sticks with me ‘there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing’.
Despite being so unprepared we still made the most of it. With a few changes of gloves and coming home to warm up with hot chocolate before heading out into the cold again. We got through it. The kids loved it. A snow day post is coming.
